The Coronavirus has kept the world on permanent alert for more than a year now. With the first known cases in late 2019, the spread reached proportions that have led to the current global pandemic. Worldwide, the origin is seen in Wuhan, China. But is that even true? It cannot be automatically assumed that Wuhan marks the origin just because the first cases were reported from there.

Therefore, the contradictory statements of the Fairfax Health Department, in Northern Virginia USA, in mid-2020 deserve special attention.

On July 29, 2020, the Fairfax Health Department issued an official epidemic proclamation regarding the cases of pneumonia that have occurred. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a statement shortly thereafter blaming the rhinovirus for the numerous cases of pneumonia.

On September 9, 2020, the Fairfax Health Committee issued a final statement on the situation, calling the cases of pneumonia "unexplained."

Nursing homes in the communities of Heatherwood and Greenspring, in Northern Virginia, experienced an outbreak of an unknown infectious disease as early as summer 2019 that led to hospitalizations and resident deaths. Centers for Disease Control have also been unable to determine the exact cause of the infectious disease.

In addition, the neighboring state of Maryland is home to Fort Detrick, a military medical research institute that has operated largely without public attention. Because the facility was said to have links to the outbreak of infectious diseases, Fort Detrick made the headlines with increasing frequency. Following major media coverage, Fort Detrick was closed in July 2019. The U.S. government was unwilling to explain the sudden closure.

Some two years after the first events, President Biden is now putting pressure on the U.S. intelligence community to clarify the origin of the Corona pandemic, as different assessments of the issue have existed within the intelligence apparatus. Accordingly, the intelligence agencies have been instructed to step up their efforts and submit a report within 90 days.
