An ex-girlfriend who bought a box of mini Easter eggs is accused of poisoning and sending them to her former boyfriend’s new family.

Seven-year-old Luis Fernando Rocha Silva died of suspected poisoning, and his 13-year-old sister and mother are critically ill in a hospital in Imperatriz,Brazil.

In chilling shop CCTV footage, accused Jordelia Pereira Barbosa,36,is seen wearing sunglasses and a black wig, hiding her dyed blonde hair.

At the counter, she is seen holding a box of luxury mini Easter eggs before paying with a credit card.

Police say Barbosa poisoned the chocolates and sent them by courier to her ex’s 32-year-old new partner,Mirian Lira Silva, who shared them with her children.

On April 16,Silva received the chocolates with a note reading: ‘With Love To Mirian Lira – Happy Easter.’

After the delivery,Mirian received an anonymous call asking if she had received the package.

But her son,Luis, fell ill almost instantly, and his mother rushed him to Imperatriz City Hospital, where he died just hours later.

While she was still at the clinic,Mirian collapsed with breathing difficulties and was admitted to intensive care.

Soon after, her daughter Evelyn Fernanda Rocha Silva arrived at the hospital with the same symptoms.

Both are in a critical condition.

Barbosa was arrested on April 17,found on a long-distance coach heading for Santa Ines,200 miles away, the Maranhao Civil Police said.

Officers also seized two wigs, receipts, cards, scissors,a saw knife, and what appeared to be drugs, say Imperatriz murder squad police.

An autopsy on victim Luis by the city’s Legal Medical Institute is expected to prove poisoning as the cause of death.

Blood tests on the two survivors and lab tests on the remains of the eggs are also being carried out.

Last autumn,a mother-of-three who killed her ex-husband by injecting him with poison was busted through dashcam footage recorded in his car.

Amanda Hovonec,37,was filmed in her estranged ex’s car wrestling him to the floor and then injecting him with M99 in the shoulder, according to investigators.

M99 is an anaesthetic that is around 3,000 times more powerful than morphine and is used on rhinos and other zoo animals.
